Petition of John Cullen for a conditional pardon so that he qualified for grants or leases for his houses - Your Excellency s humble Petitioner arrived in this colony in the ship BBB in the year 1814 having been tried at Galway and received sentence of transportation for life. Petitioner is possessed of a large property in this colony, has lately completed a brick dwelling house in Goulburn street, Brickfield Hill which cost him 1500 pounds, is also in possession of two other houses on the same hill worth at least 1200 pounds and has 250 head of horned cattle and 350 acres of land and has had the indulgence of a Spirit licence for the last six years to his house known by the name of the Dog and Duck which has ben conducted with the utmost propriety. Granted a Ticket of Leave in 1818. Still being under sentence of the law, he is unqualified to obtain either grant or lease for premises

In consequence of the good character given of Hardigan and at the request of his master he is ordered to return to his master without punishment
